It stands for 'multiple listing services'.
Usually they post the 'asking prices' .....don't hesitate to negotiate if you think about buying something.
I once bought a place where the asking price was 175 K and I offered them 130 K. It went back and forth and I got the house then for 150 K .
In Canada you have to show backbone to get somewhere. That doesn't mean you should start screwing everybody... its just the way things are ... Don't do the mistake (and thats for everything you do over there) and messure everything to German/European standards.
